Pediatric Therapy
Don't let your child's development suffer from of motor control issues that can lead to more problems later.
A child with decreased motor skills may often be seen to have difficulty with self-care tasks like getting dressed, brushing their teeth, or even combing their hair. They may also have issues when identifying one activity to do when presented with many options, such as where to go when visiting the playground or an activity center. Many struggle with coordination and will even become frustrated when playing games with their friends.
In the last 5-10 years, the number of kids having motor control difficulties has increased significantly. Although the causes of this increase in the need for pediatric therapy is yet to be determined, our specially trained physical therapists are ready to tackle the problem head on, one child at a time.
With programs for birth to three, and toddler to elementary student, we have therapists who are experienced in helping the child and the parent alike. We will teach you about the injury or condition that your child is dealing with, as well as about motor control theories and how you can assist with your child’s rehabilitation at home. Usually, your therapist will base most of your child’s rehabilitation around play.
Since acute motor control issues can lead to significant problems later on in life, pediatric therapy is more necessary now than ever. Park City Physical Therapy in Bridgeport, CT is ready to help your child prepare for a successful future.
